Anti Foaming Agent is a chemical that reduces and prevents the production of foam in liquids. Foam is formed by the aggregation of gas bubbles in a liquid, and antifoam agents work by disrupting and inhibiting the formation and stabilisation of gas bubbles, thereby reducing or eliminating the presence of foam.
(1) Anti Foaming Agent can reduce the effectiveness of foam stabilisers by forming products that cannot stabilise the foam by direct chemical reaction. A non-polar solvent that is less dense than water and insoluble in water will spread on the water surface, forming a new surface and causing foam destruction. These solvents are effective only for surface foams, but not for dispersed foams.
(2) Anti Foaming Agent can be replaced by surfactants whose Chemicalbook it is coupled to, or they can be removed from the bubble wall by polar solvents such as alcohol.

In oil extraction, Anti Foaming Agent can be used to control the bubbles generated by the injected fluid and the oil well for better well control and extraction process.
